The film speaks the truth a tragic world when what is left of mankind has been kept inside a tremendous walled city. The tall solid dividers were assembled to shield them from enormous beasts they called Titans who ate individuals for the sake of entertainment. That has been the present state of affairs for a long time until one day when one especially immense Titan all of a sudden showed up and kicked an opening through the antiquated divider. This empowered the exposed ruthless humanoid goliaths to get access and assault the town.
